Niepolomice, Poland, between July 2nd and July 6th 2012.

Niepolomice is a small nice town 15 km from Cracow - the main tourist target in Poland.

The main aim of the meeting was to create possibility to exchange ideas and experiences concernig astronomy education at all school levels. We will have free access to small telescopes and planetarium in MOA.

The following types of activities are normally scheduled on the EAAE Summer Schools:

General Lectures (GL) are normally presented by ESO/ESA/IAU astronomers.

General Working groups(GWG) focus on general discussions related to teaching astronomy in Europe.

Workshops (WS) will be held in small groups (20 participants). The objective of WS is to offer teachers very practical and didactic presentations.

Observation sessions (OS) can be held during the course depending on the weather. The goal is to introduce the participants to astronomical observations. The course offered participants special visit to the Max-Planck-Institute of astronomy and the building of the House of astronomy - Heidelberg.

Poster session (PS) will be organised, to which participants are invited to contribute by presenting posters of particular astronomical activities. The posters will be presented during the course in English.

Evaluation Session (ES) of different activities will take place at the end of the course. There will be a chance to make comments on the course contents in a general discussion.
